This beautiful natural bowl collection is made from native Balinese Suar Wood and coconut shell. The coconut shells are collected from nearby street food vendors, cut and glued piece by piece. Due to the intricacy of the process, it takes 1.5 months to hand-carve a small batch of these elegant products. They feature a timeless tableware aesthetic showcasing a traditional hand-carved process.
Kayu wooden products have unique marks and colouration that make them different from one another.
This Kayu collection is hand-carved by an artisan community in Lodtunduh Village, Indonesia. Kayu design our products in Australia using the nature of circularity, recycle & upcycle – nothing goes to waste. The workshop partners in remote Indonesia help them to realise this dream.
